WATCHING JACOBS ON RECENT FILM (TRAING CAMP) HE STOPS AND LEANS UPRIGHT WHEN HE SHIFTS OR CHANGED CUTBACK DIRRECTION TOO MUCH!!! NOT SMOOTH, HE DEF IS FAST , BIG STRONG...... BUT NOT A TRUE CUT BACK RUNNER .







. SO I GUESS ITS PRETTY CLEAR-------- I'm not sold completely on a
Jacobs/ Reuban Droughns backfiield. They wouldn't had this problem had they
signed Dominik Rhodes and his winning ways taking with him a very familiar to
winning ways of Eli's S.B. winning Q.B. brother Peyton , and system to New York

Part of what made Tiki so "special" besides his great vision and natural cut back ability, Was his patience waiting for the blocks to develop and being 5 foot 8 although listed at 5 foot 10---> The second level defenders wouldn't be able to see him as he hid behind his blockers waiting for a crease to open. .

. . Brandon at 6 foot 5 and Reuben at 6 foot even dont have that luxury and
are straight ahead bashing runners more suited for a smashmouth styleAnd the
Giants O-line although one of the best is a leverage and speed offensive line
not a power line!

I think it was a misprint that he ran 4.66 because in two other publications I read he actually ran a 4.55 big difference!!!

And he looked very good on tape instinctive , with a nose for the end zone and probably woul've went 3 or 4th round if wasn't for some charecter issues ranked in my book "as of now higher than booker and wolfe"


why put some stiff at FB? why not put jacobs there? and have your best 2 running threats on the field at the same time? aka "THUNDER & LIGHTNING PART 2-2007" ?

BOTH Droughn and Bradshaw can block. At least they say in draft report "Bradshaw" can block, is a decent blocker......we know Droughns is...........

and BJ blocking for half back would make Jacobs that much a better runner learning cut back lanes and all and also program him to stay low in his block which translates into his runs?

They should've done this last year when Tiki was there

it makes sense isnt why they put Kiwi at LB other than the need to fill a need was to put there best players on the field at the same time?
