Ugly Win. however a Win's a Win

On the Plaxico pass interferece call in 2nd quarter:

COACH TOM SHOULD'VE GOT @ THE REFREE AND PATTED PLAX ON BACK, ........

You have to support protect your players, ............I know he got a dumb un-sportsman but how bad was that pass interference call?

Parcells would've screamed bloody murder at the refs (supporting his troops) and firing them up......... instead of being a company man that Coach Tom is (and I like Coughlin)

............................

and where was #91 most of the game?

= is he hurt where is he? it's become obvious to me that when Osi comes back next year hopefully..... that Tuck has to come off the bench role with Nuka @ LDE...this is where he "Tuck" is MOST effective

-------------
in an after note:

"Tuck" did turn it on { and around } in 4th quarter....if that's what's need is for him to sit the entire 3rd quarter and 5 minutes of the 4th to get his motor going??? *****believe it or NOT...Tollefson energized our pass rush off the bench 3rd, 4th quarter ...embaressing the starters**maybee***?

But ALOT THINGS have to be straigtned out by next week opponnet, Steelers

CANT LET UP NOW..

CAN'T LET UP NOW

THIS is a team WE should BEAT running yards may come difficult @ 1st but once we loosen up their shaky 2ndary and LB units we should be able to pound the rock and also put pressure on their QB from the other side of the ball. Now is no reason to let up!

I know we are going to lose a game, I don't want to go undefeated like the Pats last year...just not this week please :-D, maybee after a long road trip to Az or return trip to Wash, I dunno just hope it doesn't come vs Dallas then again...I'll trade a reg season loss to LiL "D" anyday for another post season win

WEEK #3

WEEK#3 With a 26-23 win over the now 0-3 Bengals there is reason for concern Gmen fans

I disagree with the "NYPOST'S "JINT'S BEAT REPORTER PAUL SCHWARTZ"= "B" grade of the secondary
I think that was to high...here is why....

.
.
.
When it was 16-13 and again when it was 23-20 Cincy marched down the field almost effortlessly. Due to Quickly designed slant passes, mostly suprise draw runs and a imagintive playbook designed to take our dline pressure out of the game, or limit their effectiveness.

Yes, We got sixxx sacks and even KiwiNuka came on like a gangbusters this week and showed why he's a former 1st round pick. eventhough I think Nuka sttill best suited for Strongside DE

FastFreddy Robbins has another two sacks and the Gmen completely harrased QB Palmer all day

However when the Gmen needed a big sack the most to stop a drive in the 4th quarter it wasn't there!!!!!!!

I kept expecting a key third down sack pushing the Cincy back to a 3rd and 16 or 4th and 16

But it never came!

I then expected a big {int}

or at least a 3rd and long or 4th down to be broken up by one of our young talented corners Ross {dont know if hes hurt bad with seperated shoulder like last year???} ...or even Webster to get a int or a pass breakup in a key situation........IT never happened

What I seen was Cincy run quick slants and their recievers find gaps in our coverage play after play and it concerns me,

ISNT THE REASON we drafted Ross and Webster becuse their bump and run man to man skills?

Why was their huge pockets lapses in coverage then from their wide recievers???????

WEEK #1

JUSTIN TUCK A STUD NO MATTER WHERE YOU PUT HIM

ONLY #1 SACK AND WHAT WAS KG THINKING INSIDE THE TEN

throwing it every down, almost forcing it on our first possesion in 2nd Quarter inside the ten?

why NOT run the ball we were rambling?

and only #1 sack I'm sorry Tuck played a very very good game but he doesn't have the change of direction in the open field when the QB rolls from DE, he plays better from the DT

and Kiwinuka is NO Osi
he was good against the run all night but virtually no pass rush! Tuck getting doubled team all night Osi wouldve ran around that LT pulling the LG back to help thus forcing a 3 on 3 with the rest of the line!!!

1 sack ???
a win is a win, is a win
a good win
but against a not very well coached confused team!

----------------------------------------------------
Personally I think.......Kiwinuka has to be moved to the strongside HERE'S WHY

Osi w
hen he was in would command @ least two blockers be it the LT and LG or LT and RB.
virtually ensuring one on one for the rest of the line

Kiwi might be fast but he isn't as quick and change of direction, and bouncability-being a tall lanky DE isn't that of a smaller DE such as Osi or how McDougle is said to be!

it's been proven Tuck is solid no m
atter where they put him. I think his best match up is inside even as good as he is outside.
Now McDougle combine and collegiate record suggests he's f
aster and even more athletic than the ultra athletic Umenyiora and he's more suited for the weakside as Kiwi is for the strong side

What I'm saying is move Tuck a
round from RE to LE to DT, keep Kiwi @ Strong side either @ LB or DE and rotate both McDougle in and Tollefson in @ weakside with Tuck @ insurance and Kiwinuka @ strong side

that's all I'm saying!!!
I also said we would possibily have this problem NOT going after a DE in draft with Mike retiring and Osi's track record of injury every other season!!!

Wednesday 2 July 2008

WYNN OR WHIMPER OR REPEAT

ON DEFENSE

I think that..The Gmen are going to need a big effort from Renaldo Wynn to even have a chance to repeat..........

I think Bryan Kehl should be given a chance @ WLB and that Zach DeOssie to @ SLB, freeing up a guy like Mathis Kiwinuka to play DE again and everywhere!!!!!!.. . Hey we always have a veteran LB in Danny Clarke to back them both up if they falter...

Why not??? I think DeOssie has Vrabel abilty, Yes I do, I expect Kehl to take majority of the WLB snaps by seasons end as well...

........if DeOssie starts @ strongside it frees up Kiwinuka to play DE because I think it's going to take #3 to replace Strahan , Tuck-Wynn half and half on first and longs, Wynn on 2nd and short, Kiwi on 2nd and long and Kiwi on 3rd down with Tuck @ DT

In order to keep Tuck fresh!!!..and versatille as last season------------->
you're going to have to split time with Wynn especially against running oriented teams with Wynn getting majority of snaps in those situations. and Kiwinuka on passing downs and Kiwinuka and Tuck on 3rd downs!

<---Yeah I only hope DeOssie is giving a fair chance? Make Clark the starter and ease DeOssie in with Kiwinuka spelling both @ LB and DE and split Tuck and Wynn to keep Tuck fresh meat for DT work.....

heck personally I like it....

Kiwinuka ALL OVER THE PLACE
50-50 at LB on 1st downs
@ DE on some, 2nd and passing downs

On Offense
I think the Gmen are going to need for Guy Whimper to outright win the LT job sending the all pro Guard but only adequate tackle David Diehl back to Guard

On Shockey: I dont know what to do with him???
is it a coincedence the Gmen performed @ a higher level when he was gone last year and Eli had more confidence and the entire offense played better as a unit???...I dont know?
.
If he is that unhappy then maybee it's best to get what we can for him a 2nd rounder maybee an impact player on defenseline to replace Strahan...................but I was hoping the Gmen would run more two tight end power sets this year to help bolster their running game that was very good last season ...And so opposition dont get used to us and give other teams another wrinkle or look???

May 5th, 2008, GAMES ARE WON IN THE TRENTCHES

—Reports say that OLT Guy Whimper, a three-year veteran, has made “tremendous strides” and is ready to compete with David Diehl for the position. If he wins, Diehl will go back to left guard, where he would be an improvement over reliable journeyman Rich Seubert.

Also reported in our friends @ MyTeamRivals.com/nygiants

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GAMES ARE WON IN THE TRENTCHES!

it's in this writers opinion that........I agree Adam Koetz and Guy Reugmar "even though hReugemar been solid, he's still an inside guy and 33 years old, ... both dont extacly evoke confidence? heh?
..

I only hope that Guy Whimper can win out the LT job in camp
putting Diehl ( who gave up 15.5 sacks third worse last season ) back to guard and back to elite pro-bowl level play
.
Or I think we'll be seeing alot of two TE sets this year emphasized from the Left side?
further more....We also have that same problem @ DE if Strahan retires and one of the regs gets hurt G-D forbid presumming Kiwinuka stays @ OLB we're down to Daave Tollefson as 3rd DE on chart and starter???

-------------------------->idk theres quite a few guys out there from major programs like USC's Drew Radovich who can play G or T and USC's Matt Spanos who can play all three positions upfront, as well as Tommy Blake once though as 1st round talent @ DE whom could play DE-or SAM LB

end of post-leave comments->

May 5th, 2008, LOOK'S LIKE TENNESEE AND SEATLE ARE TRYING TO BUILD WHAT WE HAD LAST YEAR?

From Seatle taking my boy Lawrence Jackson in the 1st
when they already have Kearney, Julian Petersen and Darryl Tapp

Seems that DE depth isn't such a bad thing heh?

And Tennesse with Kyle Vanden Bosch, Albert Haynesworth and Travis LaBoy and now just drafted Justin Jones who figures to fill the role that Tuck did for us last year @ DT on passing downs hmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn?

Even Jacksonville took Derrick Harvey and Quentin Groves

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Look's like quite a few teams are trying to copy what MADE US SUCCESFULL last year, and realize it isn't #1 or even #2 pass rushers that make the team but a concerted front line effort!!!!!!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
.
.
.
.
.
.
Continued....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's Why I say God forbid Strahan retires or either Tuck or Kiwi gets hurt where are we??? Osi and Tollefson as starters minus Strahan theres the depth anyway without moving Kiwi back to end!!!!
.
.

In retrospect, We could've traded down still gotten @ Tyrell Johnson or Josh Barrett or Joe Fields @ saftey and gotten a Justin King or equivalent to Terrel Thomas later rounds
.
.
.
............But overall I'm not going to be a hater I'm just defending my thoughts ...overall I'd call right now our draft a (B grade)
just below Dallas who scores a (b+) and way ahead of ..............
Washington (C grade) and Philly (c-)

on another note:

DOES "OSI" HAVE THE AUTHORITY?

Does "Osi" have the authority or charsma----> ....Like Strahan did and does? If Strahan does retire? Or is "Osi" only concerned with Osi?
.
.
.

From his statement @ the NFL draft ( these players they have to compete with are playing to put food on their family's table, they're NOT playing for scholarships "chuckle" )
.
.
.

^<---- That statement above shows me this is the kind of guy that may feel threathned by other's success? When he should thank Strahan and co. for his!!!

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
=================================================================
and lastly:

And, Why haven't we picked up Tommy Blake in unsigned FA's??? The Guy's a terror OFF the EDGE!! ...Do they think possibily he's to sensetive for Coughlin? He would be perfect for SAM LB and DE depth in case Kiwi......

......and Why NO Matt Spanos the guy can play C, OG or OT or OG-OT Drew Radovich better than our subs now? NO??

I'M TIRED OF HEARING J.E.T.S. FANS AND JOE BENINGO AND WFAN

I'M TIRED OF HEARING J.E.T.S. FANS AND JOE BENINGO AND WFAN say...........................Look @ THE GIANTS on any given sunday, just get into the playoff's and get hot!!!!!!!!!!!!
.
.
.
1st off it isn't that easy to GET into the playoffs!!!
.
.
.
.
2nd off the J.E.T.S. as a team I dont dislike,I dont dislike any NY team. But even if they snuck into the playoffs @ 8-8, there is no way that team can play against top tier competition Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Indianoplis etc. etc.
.
.
.
.
.
3rd off it was no fluke the GIANTS did what they did their offense may not have been a Superbowl calibre offense, but their defense with future hall of famer Michael Strahan and best Dlineman west of the Missississipi, Osi Umenyiora {who's in Osi league? other than DeMarcus Ware and Dwight Freeney in the entire NFL} other than maybee, teamates Justin Tuck or Mathis Kiwinuka {both considered a top %15 pick in there draft before senior year injuries?}
.
Tuck is just a beast!!!!!!!!! .... I did some reading on him, hold's every Notre Dame record and....ran a 6.1 dash @ 278 llbs Phenonmenal} NOT Gholston NOT LONG , NOT Merling in this 08 class measure up
.
.
.
.
.
.
4th Eli like him or NOT {and you jets fans could use a QB yourselves, you should've taken Henne in 08, you're going to regret that like you didn't take Marino} anyway Eli is a number #1 pick in the entire draft.
And Plax is a top #10 pick in entire draft.
.
.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHO ON THE J.E.T.S. EVEN COMPARES? GIVE US OUR CREDIT!!!!!
YOU DONT EVEN HAVE A PLAYER THAT MATCHES UP TO "SHOCKEY" IN MAGNITUDE ALONE!!!!

I THINK STRAHAN is RETIRING "DRAFT 2008"

I really do think Mikes calling it a career. Thats why you wont hear anything about it definte. The Giants dont want to tip there hand in the draft. Yes we need an left OT. We gave up like the third most sacks from the LT position last year at 15.5
...But I really dont think there is a OT that can step up and play right away except from the very top of the 1st round. ......Maybee with another year and camp Guy Whimper can step in and put Diehl back to his natural position of LG and to his all pro calibre play? I really do not like Kenny Phillips for this team or Dan Connor in any shape way or form. And I think it's absurb to think we're going take a WR Mario Manningham in the 1st according to Mayock!

I think the GMEN should best in invest further into their strenghts and what made them special last year they're one injury, retirement or holdout from being thin at DE forcing Tuck into a starting role losing their versatillity

My GIANT MOCK

1- DE- Phillip Merling or Lawrence Jackson, Strahan's replacement

2-Oniel Cousins OT, Diehl back to OG

3- Josh Barett SS built like a LB covers like a corner

4-Sean Crable- LB or DE - Just like Reggie Torbor or Maybee "Guy Whimper type project LT and NJ native Jerremy Zutah ?

5-Darnell Terrell- 4.2 big physical corner-project can play FS

6- Matt Spanos- insurance for O'Hara / Hille Taylir DE/LB tweener

7-Zachary Bowman-injury past big physical corner can play FS / Joe Fields FS

PLEASE Mr.Reese are you listening?
!

THE POST THAT GOT ME BANNED FROM GIANTS.COM

In retrospect, I think what had gotten me banned is explaing that by me saying the GIANT faithfull would be shouting "ELLLLLLLLLLLL JAYYYYYYYYYYY" for Lawrence Jackson, and then........Comparing Michael Strahan saying his overall career was better than that of Lawrence Taylor in answering this forum. Further stating that if "LT" played today that he wouldn't be as dominate. That teams and I believe this were'nt ready for him back in the early 80's being the 34 defense was fairly new as the time. LT was still an unstoppable force in his time a perfect blend of size speed and strenght for the WiLL LB of 34 and the mold in which it was created. But IMO Strahan longevity and overall numbers and career were better----------->

it started like this------------->

To answer someone on Trey Maulauga ILB, Idont think Maulauga isn't comming out in 08, he'll be top 20 pick in 2009, I liked what I've seen too

and to back up my point on drafting a DE not a saftey ---->

------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd round

#63 New York
Giants: Jason Jones, DE, Eastern Michigan

Now that
the Giants are champions, it's a safe bet that Michael Strahan may retire even
though he has hinted that he will come back. Assuming he doesn't un-retire for
the 5,000th time, the Giants will need another pass rusher in their rotation.

Pick change; previously Erin Henderson, OLB

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree with the line of thinking competely, but???

But why Jones? when he's RDE and Jackson could be maybee had in the first or
early second and he's from USC and a LDE,

Than if a guy like Baker drops down to late 2nd pick him just for
competition at LT sake and depth

P.S. ***theres plenty of talent 3 to 7 to pick a corner, saftey or knickel
throughout the draft take care of our bread n butter 1st@!
I DONT THINK KENNY PHILLIPS WILL BE THERE EVEN IF HE IS
I PREFER LJ!

DRAFT 2008- LJ THE NEXT LT?

Well no one's LT irreplacable, but USC's Lawrence Jackson the only left defensive end other than Brian Johnson I'm liking and you're not hearing alot about him

He holds USC's all time sack leader like Justin Tuck has in Notre Dame his numbers are actually better than Tucks 56 sacks to 54 or something or other 98 tackles for loss etc. etc....

And he's projected 2nd or 3rd , who knows though?

I think Jackson can be Perfect replacement for Strahan,

Ilike Tuck where he is, he's special because he can line up @ RDE his true position DT, LB and I say keep Kiwi the way we're using him NOW!@LB'er

see the video on him --->

DRAFT 2008

my updated draft--->

Sam Baker OT <--- team guy not overwhelming but would fit in w/ this group , only going get better
Lawrence Jackson DE
Charles Godfrey CB or Antwon Moldem CB
Bryan Kehl LB
Jason Jones DE or Jeremy Thompson DE or Brian Jonstone DE
Darnell Terelll CB
Matt Spanos C-OG
Zackary Bowman KNB~ OR Shannon Tevaga OG

STOP THE RUN!@

In replying to this article in GIANTS 101 "Can You Have Enough Pass Rushers? "

http://forums.screamingsports.com/blogs/giants-101/archive/2008/03/09/can-you-have-enough-pass-rushers.aspx?CommentPosted=true#commentmessage

Personally I think the GMEN need a second field general next to Pierce if you ever noticed many times the GIANTS would line up in a hybrid 5-2 defense 4 down lineman and the SLB with his hand in the dirt too on the line. With both Mitchell and Pierce lined up in a sorta dual MLB role

Kawika made up for alot of what Piece didn't or couldn't and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time!

Wilk scares me, I dont think he's an every down LB'er

and is more suited for a tampa#2 type defense.

So the only one I know that's versatille enough to be a OLB/ILB and to fill Michell's shoes and is a field general in his own right is Dan Connor, unless someone knows a good sleeper later on like Beu Bell perhaps we must address our LB'er depth, even if Wilkerson starts

WE MUST PUT AN EMPAHSIS ON STOPPING THE RUN AS NEXT YEAR

lets not forget Quarterfinals in Dallas and MBIII first half................and LET'S not just the pass rush!

***there are alot of good Defensive Ends in the later 4th and 5th rounds getting a real good OT like William or Otah would be nice? but I think they'll be gone by the 31st pick

THE DYE IS CAST "DAN CONNOR" 1ST ROUND AND SLEEPERS

Forget everything I said about the draft thus far!!!

......With "2nd" field general Kawika Mitchell gone we're going need a heady athletic LB'er we were blessed last year with the emergance of mitchell, now with him gone, and I think he will be missed more and harder to replace then Wilson ,

We need to sign either Rivers and-or Connor, hopefull both?
I dont know if Conor will be around late 2nd? I know Rivers probably wont be around late 1st
So it would have to be Connor then who can play OLB as well.
He's a sideline to sideline talent.

..........then after that 2nd round Brandon Albert OG/OT http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=33795 if still available if not---------->

heres a few sleepers i like --->

Heath Benedict 2nd or 3rd OG-OT http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=67382
to shore up our OLINE give depth and for future

Justin King CB if around 4th? http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=56933

or
antwon moldem CB, if still around 2nd or 3rd ?http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=73849

on the Saftey--->

Quintin Demps FS http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=19295

Joe Fields FS http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=9466

on the Strong Saftey's~>

Josh Barrett SS http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=15066
He's predicted to go 4th or 5th by draft scout? I think he'll go higher ?

So~~~>
Tyrell Johnson SS , 4th or 5th --->http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=17614

or~

Derrick Doggett SS, 6th or 7th round predicted --> http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=17614

or on the D-line-->

Justin Jones DE who in draft scout is predicted to go 4th or 5th? and isnt heard about
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=9466

or

who i really like...........
Brian Johnstone DE for more depth to replace Awasum ------->
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=68159

....I really like both Rivers and Connor especiallllllllllly now with Mitchell gone!!
Heath Benedict is must in my opinion at OG to upgrade over Seubert and also can play LT like Diehl!

And I like Moldem but I doubt we'll get him?......... and I like Johnstone alot to back up both Tuck and Osi kid has alot heart, what do you think?

?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

here are some more later round suggestions ...........

Here is a few others I like in later rounds at corner

Terrell Thomas CB,  proj-2nd or 3rd-  http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=15705

Darnell Terell CB,  a project but  6"2" 205 llbs and 4.39 ... proj round 5 or 6

@ WR if you must? .....Marcus Monk , theres your big 6'4" 230 pound reciever to replace legendary on this board " Anthony Mixx " --->  http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=32827

reciever isn't a neccasity I think we should give Hixon who runs like deer a shot ?

whether he has hands or not I dont know?

And if We dont land either OG/OT hybrid Albert or Benedict above to replace uhmnmm Adam Koets lol than we should take a long look @
Drew Radovich from USC http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=15696

THE BENEFITS OF LINING UP DUAL TE'S AND KEEPING SHOCKEY & BOSS

Our number #1 foe in the SFC east is Dallas, whom has two premier outside pass rushers in DeMarcus Ware and the other guy?

Call it an H-Back, Slant TE or whatever you like
it helps out against edge rushers especially one's that play the 3-4 as seen by the Patriots in the JFC champinship game against San Diego.

And it helps out our aging OLINE in the running game against 8 man fronts. And gives us another look!

I stand by my stance --> TO KEEP SHOCKEY OR NOT?
Keep Shockey use him in dual TE or as a slant back and continue to develope Boss in the more traditional TE!

Wednesday 20 February 2008

TO TRADE SHOCKEY OR NOT?

the board and newspapers are heating up whether the GMEN should trade Shockey---->
It just kills me how a large percentage of the fans are even thinking trade. So much to be said for team loyalty, though we expect that from the players. Shock helped get us to where we are.

DON'T YOU KNUCKLEHEADS FORGET THAT!

So many of you make me sick with talk of trading Shock. Sit down and shut your pie hole!
Personally in my opinion, Shockey should be used as an offset the left tackle (H-back) the same way that Joe Gibb's Pigskins did in there glory days. And Boss as the more traditional tightend on the field at the same time!

Offcourse Shockey would be the more featured receiver............. and his run blocking dominace would help out greatly on off tackle to the left runs which suffered last season a bit with new LT David Diehl @ a new position

BUT, it is VERY REAL!

http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/02/14/giants-gm-jerry-reese-jeremy-shockey-is-our-starting-tight-end/#comments

In conclusion this writers opinion is:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boss cannot sit because he has to develope , better with Shockey around than NOT. If you have read my posts here, You would know I'm more FOR KEEPING Shockey than trading him@!

. However if I choose between the two of
(the soon to be even larger contract of Shockey) .............or the developing young Boss

I choose Boss for his ethics teamwork his potential , his chemistry with Eazy-E
and the fact not only because his number is #89 but his resemblance IN PLAY to Bavaro!

Shockey would dominate as an H-Back it would show he's a team player not a me guy, and it isn't so that much different than being a TE, and it would give us another offensive formation on the field or another look if you will.

........***And it would help our offensive line which is getting older and no true dominant knock down blocker other than Snee and Mckenzie on the right side!

UNSUNG HERO'S

UN SUNG HERO'S

"the party is over the Superbowl was great all time, But It's time to maintain and build for the future boy's---------------->

1) Kawika Mitchell, was in almost every big tackle in every big spot

2) Derrik Ward, carried the running game, mid-early season when Jacobs got hurt, and in my opinion was a better goal line RB than Drouhgns

3) Fred Robbins and Barry Cofield, both were instrumental in stopping the opposing running game and got some pressure and sacks in key situations

4) Chase Blackburn, although not as "X's and O's" smart as any of the other LB's spearheaded the special teams unit

5) Corey Webster, shouldnt be overlooked even if we get a stud corner via draft/ free agency very useable and physical corner and a very good 3rd corner for the future

Most overated

1) Jeremy Shockey, team seemed to gel and be cohesive after he left with injury , never really has lived up to his immense potential. Has had his mommtnts!!! But can be so much better , I'm not giving up on him!

2) Brandon Jacobs , I really try to like him want him so badly to be a franchise RB but he plays the position like a LBer basically diving into would be tacklers with all his might instead of lowering the shoulder and boom and keep moving on? If he wanted to play LB'er he should've played LB'er

I do not give up on him

3) David Diehl, very rarely did the GIANTS run off left tackle and he seemed to struggle in run blocking game and with bull rushers, however it was his first full season at LT needs to improve on decent yet lackluster 1st season!

He's a team player and a good guy, however he will be looking over his shoulder if he doesn't progress

*NEXT UP GRADE YOUR STARTERS

RATE YOUR GMEN

A+, A, A-, B+,B,B-,C+,C,C-,D+,D,D-,F

QB's

QB. ELI MANNING =( B-) still needs to be more consistant ,run more rollouts maybee

QB JARED LORENZSE= (D+) this grades based more on potential then playing time as he didnt play much at all but when he has has a habit of looking down and making his throws to the ground and pocket precence is poor as he hurrys and sees the rush

QB Anthony Wright =(D+)= not the answer a little better field general then Lorenzen but lacks the arm better technique however

RB's

RB Brandon Jacobs (C+)= immense potential 6'4" 275 4.5, speed can break tackles however runs into traffic way too much almost as if he tackling the tacklers like a LB'er with all his might to punish them thus takinh him off his feet altogether too much for a big fast man,
click here for full evalutation --> THE KNOCK ON JACOBS

Im conclusion he needs to run lower his shoulder work on his balance in offseason , be more patietnt also, for two way goe's and lower the shoulder and keep moving and stop diving into tackles

RB Ahman Bradshaw (A)= unlimited potential in limited action, fights for extra yardage carrying 300 pound tackles on his back refusing to drop knee which may result in injuy in future.

He has shown although to be durable, great hands runs draws very well and runs offtackle well, attacks the corner well dangerous in open spaCE

RB Derrik Ward (B)= has a nose for the goal line sees the field well decent cuts but isnt bradshaw decent power but isnt Jacobs uses his power better than Jacobs however, may be expendable as he is UFA and position is loaded

RB Reuben Droughns (D+)= excelled in special teams and blocking out of the back field has limited carries so really cant judge him but in those limited carries and goal line situations he hasn't been impressive.

Madison Hedgecock (B+) = excellent blocker out of backfield does his job but limited in any other offensive aspect

TE's

Jeremy Shockey (C-) dispapointing season ended in broken leg needs to be more in sync with play calling , run better routtes, but is a force in running game may be best suited as a offset tackle or as as Hback or fullback
Click here for full evaluation --> SHOCKEY

Kevin Boss (B+) reminencent of and old numbr #89 with 45 yard catch in superbowl

GIANT of a man at 6'7" 265 long arm span.... blocks out safteys well with his size runs great routtes as is only a rookie

Micael Matthews (C+) one dimensial role player blocks for running game used on goal; line situations not much else

WR's

Plaxico Buress (A) played hurt all season was regular season MVP in my opinion, a true gamer, slowed towards the end of season other wise grade would've been an (A+) and not just an (A)

Amani Toomer (A+) made crucial drops during season but when the time to turn it on was there was as clutch as anybody the all important (x) reciever that makes the offense go

Steve Smith (A) took alot of pressure off both Toomer and Plax made clutch important catches down the stretch and is only a rookie

David Tyree (B+) all I have to say is "the catch" special teams demon very imprtant player

Dom Hixon (A-) very good at KR always put us in good field position did everything and much more then expected of him, rarely used as a reciever although

Sinorice Moss (inc) never used sits on the bench have to wonder why with all his talent , maybee best trade this 4.23, speed, fast little smurf reciever/scatback

THE KNOCK ON JACOBS
Brandon Jacobs is a "Man Child" heres the proof, To read the complete story, click here.

Jacobs the intimidator hopefully I posted this right tell me what u think of this video...

[/reply By Jacob's critic]

If you notice when he hits that Green Bay corner he "Jacob's" has a seem that could gain him affectively up to 4 to 5 more yards to his left, ......but would create a collision with the LB'er AJ Hawk!!!

He opts to lower his head and take on the CB only picking up 2 yards,......and if he outweights that corner, ....then tell me why is he taken off his feet? And NOT keep running on?

He dont look like he absorbed any shock from the hit?

my opinion?
DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE

Jacobs needs to work on his balance, ON his first step even if that means lose 15 to 25 pounds to become more felexible in pivoting off his hips ~~ Thus reaching top speed faster , and he needs to read his blockers better and stop thinking like a LB'er tackling and punishing the would be tackler with all his might, and just lower the shoulder and keep it moving!~

**** P.S. I dont dislike Jacobs, I want him to fullfill expectations more than anyone. But he was making me sick during the Superbowl lowering his head burying it in GIANTS OffTackle David Diehl's back ~taking two yard runs, when he had the entire sideline sealed off by Diehl that would've easily resulted in at least an 11 yard gain!

Friday 15 February 2008

there is alot of arguments on Shockey all over the net and newspaper as whether the GMEN are a better team without him--->

DON'T YOU KNUCKLEHEADS FORGET THAT!

So many of you make me sick with talk of trading Shock. Sit down and shut your pie hole!
it is VERY REAL! the rumors abroad--->

In my opinion:

TO TRADE SHOCKEY OR NOT

guess what fella's it isn't up to us....................In my opinion if we're going to use a dual tight end like the Pigskins did in the Joe Gibbs glory era I can defentely see the benefits of keeping Shockey as I think he would excell in a Offset H-back to help run support off Left tackle and we all know Shockey's pass catching potential, there is no doubt that Eli has a chemistry with Kevin Boss and he should be groomed in the more traditional TE role

With our OLINE getting older and no true pusinshing road graders on our left side
(we're a get a hat on a defender, more than a zone blocking unit that gives ->the RB a two way go system)

*** I think it's invevitable next year to show different faces bringing in deep threat specialist Hixon as he's being groomed, rookie sensation Smith, scatback and maybee Westerbrook clone Bradshaw

as well as mix and match with our fullback hedgecock on occasion (although with Shockey @ H-Back and Boss at TE , .....it limits the need for any blocking back) mixing back fields of Jacobs with Bradshaw, Jacobs alone, Bradshaw alone , Ward (if we resign him) alone and Ward with Bradshaw.

****If we're NOT going to use Shockey in this manner, and he's too talented to sit and not be in 75% of our offensive plays----> thus sitting Boss to the bench which I think is a big mistake and NOT USE them Together!!!

Then we are better off to yes pulling the trigger and trading Shockey, but NOT for Oucho Cinco SORRY

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

in conclusion:

Boss cant sit because he has to develope , better with Shockey around than NOT. If you have read my post here, You would know I'm more FOR KEEPING Shockey than trading him@!

. However if I choose between the two of
(the soon to be even larger contract of Shockey) .............or the developing young Boss

I choose Boss for his ethics teamwork his potential , his chemistry with Eazy-E
and the fact no only because his number is #89 but his resemblance to Bavaro!

***
Shockey would dominate as an H-Back it would show he's a team player not a me guy, and it isn't so that much different than being a TE, and it would give us another offensive formation on the field or another look if you will.
